Sleep Bag: Shopping for A Ideal One

If you are really looking for a sleeping bag that will really serve you well, there is a number of factors you have will have to pay close attention to. Approaching the task of shopping for a sleeping bag with the attitude that ‘all sleeping bags are really the same’ is not likely to leave you with a product that will serve you very well.
As anyone who has been closely involved with sleeping bags (either in their manufacture or in their sale) will aver, different sleeping bags are designed for different purposes. And should you opt for a sleeping bag that is at odds with the purpose you have in mind, you would have no one to blame but yourself if it turns out to be of little value to you in its intended use. It is all about using ‘the right tool for the right purpose.’
One of the most basic factors that will go into determining what your ideal choice of a sleeping bag should be is the temperature of the campground – or wherever – the bag is to be used. If you go summer camping in a place characterized by very hot summers using a sleeping bag meant for winter camping, then you should not blame anyone if attempting to lull yourself to sleep inside it turns out to be an impossible task!
It therefore makes a lot of sense for you – whenever shopping for a sleeping bag – and if you happen to like one of the sleeping bags on offer, to make an effort to understand, by reading the literature it comes with and asking the people selling it, what temperature conditions it was designed for; and ensure that this is line with what the conditions you are looking to use it in. Failure to do this could leave you with a product whose use ‘leaves you with a bitter taste in the mouth’ at the end of it all.
Another factor, besides the temperature conditions for which the sleeping bag is designed that you have to take into consideration before purchasing it is the mode that you will be using for transporting the sleeping bag to the venue (say campsite) where you will be using it. As it turns out, there are some sleeping bags whose transportation can prove to be extremely inconvenient – if not impossible – unless you are looking to have car transportation for the camping kit right up to the camping ground, in which case carrying considerations for the sleeping bag might not matter so much.
You will also have to think very deeply about the shape of the sleeping bag you opt for. Sleeping bag shapes, as you are bound to learn sooner or later during your shopping expedition, have greater implications beyond aesthetics, since they determine the sleeping bag’s heat conservation capacities. For this reason, if you are considering going camping in a summer campsite (where heat conservation might not be a very major factor) going for a rectangular sleeping bag – which offers a lot of sleeping space but is poor at heat conservation might be the ideal situation for you, of course granted there is car transportation right up to the campsite, as the rectangular sleeping bag is rather bulky to carry on the back. In a similar manner, if you are going camping at a site characterized by low temperatures (where heat conservation is a necessity), then you are better off going making a ‘mummy bag’ your choice of a sleeping bag, because although such a ‘mummy bag’ does not offer as much sleeping space as the rectangular sleeping bag, it does offer remarkable heat conservation features.

Unfair Credit Cards Penalties and How to Avoid Them

It is a basic and well known fact that most credit card companies penalize those of their customers who are late in making their credit card balance payments. Indeed, a considerable number of credit card companies make the greatest portion of their income out of the penalties they charge those of their customers who make their balance payments late.
But while the credit card companies have become accustomed to late payment of the money they effectively lend to people through the credit cards (and perhaps actually come to like it because of the penalties they charge on such people who fall late on their repayment of credit card debt repayment), it is noteworthy that the money so paid as late credit card balance repayment penalty is money that is utterly lost from the credit-card holders’ perspective, as they get absolutely no value from it.
Whatever the arguments, though, it is appreciated that the spirit behind late credit card balance repayment penalties is basically good, namely to encourage people to service their credit card balance debt in a timely manner. What are not understandable, however, are the situations where people end up being charged late credit card balance repayment penalties, in spite of their having made their credit card balance payments on what they would have considered reasonably good time upon the balance falling due. So how does one protect themselves from such unfair credit card balance repayment penalties?
One easy way to protect oneself from such unfair credit card balance repayment penalties is by opting for automated credit card balance repayments (especially if you run one of the increasingly popular online bank accounts). This is where you instruct your bank to automatically make a payment to your credit card company equal to the ‘minimum’ payment required not to incur a penalty (on a standing order basis), and on the very day that your credit card balance repayments fall due. This way you effectively insure yourself from ever suffering from late credit card balance repayment penalties.
Making an effort to really understand your credit card company balance repayment guidelines (and following them to the letter) is another thing you can do to protect yourself from falling victim to unfair credit card balance repayment penalties. At the very least, ensure that you get the address to which you should send your credit card balance repayment check to clearly, and that you write the check legibly, to avoid a situation where the people employed to process the payment have difficulties doing so, leading to a situation where the penalty threshold date arrives while they are still struggling to process the payment.
If the possibility of making your credit card balance by phone is available to you, it is yet something else you might consider in avoiding late credit balance repayment penalties, because unlike the case of ‘a check in the mail’ there is very little opportunity for misunderstanding through this mode of credit card balance repayment, as the transaction is made and completed in real time.
