You can pack your movie iPod system with a lot of movies from sources other than iTunes. There are many sources for new and old movies online that can be downloaded and prepared for iPod viewing. Before you can watch a movie on your iPod screen, the movie file must first be converted into an MPEG 4 which is standard for iPod viewers.

Most popular video conversion software programs available on the internet can handle this for you. These programs convert file formats from WMV, MOV, VOB, MPEG, AVI and other popular files formats used by many movies. Some programs are free of charge while premium programs require payment.

Aside from covering movies and films into the proper file format, you should also check to see if the movies are in a 640 by 480 video format. This is the format that all iPod viewers use. If the movie is not then the picture quality will be poor. Believe it or not there are software programs that can handle this too.

Some people seem to be okay with a slight distortion and the iPod system does have a little bit of leeway, but not a lot. If you have a movie that you really want to enjoy on your iPod system, it is always better to use a screen resolution of 640 by 480. This is the same resolution that all iPod ready movies come in.

If you want to convert home movies and videos, Apple has a program called QuickTime 7 Pro that you can use. This program seamlessly converts home movies and videos into an iPod format for perfect picture viewing. This is a wonderful way to store home movies of friends and family for viewing when you are away.

So how do you transfer home videos to you iPod? It is very easy. Once you transfer the video file from your digital camcorder to you desktop computer, download QuickTime 7 Pro and start the program. You will see the title of the video that you want to transfer and convert in the top menu.

Once everything is in place, you just have to launch QuickTime 7 Pro and click on the title of the home video that you want to transfer. The process is very simple and only takes a few minutes of your time. This program will allow you to transfer all of your precious home videos and keepsakes.

When the file conversion process is complete, all you have to do is synchronize the movie file the same way you do all iPod movies and songs. This program will work on standard desktop computers and on laptops. Start transferring your home movies so you can share them with friends and distant relatives when you are away on vacation.

My View Of The Movie This Is It: Why It Will Do Well

The soon to be released, “This Is It” has Michael Jackson fans pumped and excited to revisit his last weeks before his untimely passing, just four months ago.

Because of the ongoing investigation and controversy surrounding his death, many of us will have the same thoughts about going to see it and will probably ask the question, “Is this too soon after his funeral?”

Some have expressed their views that this concert film is coming too soon after his funeral, perhaps because of the ongoing investigation and controversy surrounding his death.

This was to be the King of Pop’s final tour. If you are thinking that Michael would be frail, sickly or under the influence of drugs as some have implied, think again. He is anything but that.

Michael’s friend, Director and Choreographer Kenny Ortega poured his heart into this documentary. It was a huge undertaking for him because he had over 100 hours of rehearsal footage to go through. It was to be the biggest and best concert tour ever for Michael. Kenny gives us almost two hours to enjoy the King of Pop. He gives us a glimpse of what Michael experiences on stage before concerts. The rehearsals are spectacular and it’s exciting to watch a strong Michael glide effortlessly across the floor. He pours his heart and soul out with every song. He laughs and jokes with his team. It’s quite a film to watch.

He was upbeat, joking and laughing and showed such compassion and kindness toward his team members even though he guided them with a firm hand. He strived for perfection from himself to each member of the dance team, including the musicians, and special effects team alike. And after each practice he always gave a “God Bless” or “It’s all for love” to everybody.

You can see that he always wanted everyone to laugh and have fun. It was very interesting to watch Michael because he was such a perfectionist and it showed.

From the musicians to the dancers, to the special effects, Michael guided his team with a firm hand, but yet showed much compassion, love and kindness toward everyone around him. He was always quick to give a “God Bless” or “It’s all for love” at the end of every practice.

Perhaps this film is exactly what we need to remember him by. A way to keep him forever in our hearts, as I’m sure we will be in his.

LED Monitors Offer Longer Life

It is very likely that you have an LCD monitor attached to your desktop computer. If your monitor is less than twelve inches deep but more than one inch in depth, then you are reading this article on an LCD monitor or plasma monitor. You may love or hate your monitor, but you may find that you love LED monitors.

There is one primary difference between the LCD monitor and the LED monitor. That difference is the source of the back light. In the older monitors, the source of the back light was a florescent tube. After three to four years these tubes begin to dim. Since there was no way for the consumer to change the florescent tubes the monitor eventually had to be replaced. The picture on the monitor becomes progressively darker and due to this become a large source of electronic waste in our landfills.

A second disadvantage of the LCD monitors is that they are more bulky and heavy than the LED monitors. The florescent tubes require this additional thickness. LED monitors can be made quite thin, especially those that are edge lit monitors. These are the monitors that have been made possible by the technology developed for ultra thin laptops.

A third disadvantage of the LCD monitors is that the florescent light does not produce a full color spectrum. There are some colors that are just not as bright with these monitors as they are with the LED monitors that produce a high quality white light.

The lower energy consumption of LED monitors is a great advantage to laptop users, especially those who are running on the battery. Additionally, LED monitors are brighter in color and have a longer lifespan before the lighting starts to dim.

Some users do complain that the edge lit LED monitors do not have an evenly lit screen. They find it brighter along the edges and darker in the center. This is due to the fact that the LED lights are only along the edges, making the super thin screen possible. This may simply be a matter of adjusting to the use of the screen.

Another complaint the some people have with LED monitors is that they are too bright for some applications. A suggestion might be to find a LED monitor that allows the user to adjust the brightness. Users who make this complaint find that the bright monitor causes eyestrain.

These two minor complaints should not be enough to keep you from purchasing one of the best monitors that are available today. These are the absolute thinnest monitors available. They are extremely clear and last much longer than the LCD monitors with florescent tubes.

Choosing a long life monitor is a great choice for the environment. This means that you will not need to purchase a new monitor every time you purchase a new machine. By purchasing fewer monitors, you can do your part to reduce electronic waste in landfills. Choose an LED monitor for the longer lasting monitor. A new monitor should outlast your current computer.

Jason Voorhees is back with a vengeance in the remake of Friday the 13th and this famous slasher flick will tantalize your thirst for blood. After witnessing his mother’s beheading at Camp Crystal Lake, Jason goes lunatic some thirty years later.

Because Jason witnessed the beheading of his mother at Camp Crystal Lake thirty years ago in the year 1980, he’s coming back with a vengeance.

Camp Crystal Lake’s wooded beauty now turns dark bloody red and the suspense will keep you on the edge of your chair. Jason seems to be more cunning than ever before and this flick is sure to have your arm hairs standing straight up.

Producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form were challenged in the casting of this movie because they needed thirteen young actors as opposed to the five that were in Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Fuller and Form had to continually cast and recast to find the best group of young actors that worked well together. It was more challenging than they thought, and this process was too close for comfort, as they literally did not have their group established until the very start of the film.

Derek Mears does a great job playing the role of adult Jason, as does Caleb Guss who plays the young Jason Voorhees. Also applauds goes out to Jared Padalecki for the leading male role, and Amanda Righetti for the leading female role.

Adult Jason Voorhees is played by Derek Mears as Caleb Guss plays young Jason. Jared Padalecki is the leading male and Amanda Righetti the leading female role. Supporting actors are Danielle Panabaker, Jonathan Sadowski, America Olivo, Julianna Guill, Nana Visitor, Aaron Yoo, Van Winkle and Richard Burgi who plays the Sheriff. Each does a fantastic job with their acting abilities.

Be sure to put this slasher flick on your list of Halloween movies to see. You’re sure to get all the suspense, thrill and blood and guts to wet your appetite this season. It’s a Friday the 13th you won’t want to miss.

With the introduction of digital television (DTV) has come the High Definition Television Revolution. Full HD TV is the pinnacle of the home television experience. But what is required to enjoy the maximum benefits on offer? And what choices are there to be made when purchasing a Full HD TV.

You may of seen the terminology 1080p used in the world of TV? Do you know that to experience the Full HD TV effect, then you should be looking to purchase a 1080p capable TV? For example some televisions display the HD Ready badge and though this standard is still high definition, it is does not match the quality of Full HD TV as it usually conforms to the 720p standard.

LED, plasma and LCD are all types of HD TVs. You are going to need to know some facts about advantages and disadvantages of these types of TVs. This knowledge will assist you in making the correct buying decision when it comes to purchasing the right HD TV for you.

The prestige HD televisions are considered to be plasma HD TVs. This is because of the ability of plasma TVs to reproduce life-like colours and the greatest contrasts when compared to its competitors. They are also better at displaying fast moving pictures. The negatives with plasma TVs are they less eco-friendly and due to the larger size of screens are heavier and cost more.

LCD HD TVs have by far been the popular choice for some time. Its qualities include they are smaller, weigh less than plasmas, can display bright images, better range of sizes and because of their popularity have become the best value. They are maybe not as effective at displaying fast moving images and dark blacks.

The newest technology on the market is the LED HD TV. This type of television is still an LCD display but it incorporates LED TV technology to light the screens rather than fluorescent lights that have been used since the introduction of LCD televisions. LEDs have the advantage that they allow good colour reproduction and contrast levels, are lighter and smaller, have a longer life, and are more energy efficient. A down side is that as they are relatively new the cost is still a bit expensive.

Other technologies on the horizon include OLED TVs (organic light emitting diodes) and 3D HD TVs. There are current commercial models using these technologies available on the market. However they are really pilot models to test the technologies out on the public. It is expected that they will become mainstream in 5 years or so.

To make the most of the money you have to spend you should make sure you know your own requirements before purchasing a new Full HD TV. Narrow your options down and possibly use other consumers reviews to make your final decision on buying a Full HD Television.

The Buzz of A New Hollywood Movie Production Can Make Or Break Box Office Ticket Sales

September 5, 2009 by Steven Mueller

There is virtually no limit to the amount of money that Hollywood will spend to keep us entertained. They realize that the more they can lure us into the theaters with special effects, head-spinning plots and premium actors, the more they stand a chance to create a blockbuster hit.

It cost movies producers tens of millions to produce a blockbuster hit. Once a new movie takes off in a big way, Hollywood makes it up in ticket sales. In the past, some new films t hit the theaters have generated over one hundred million dollars for the producers. It is a big industry with a lot of money to be made when all the pieces come together.

The key to big ticket sales is for producers and directors is to create a film that spawns a lot of media attention before the movie is released. This media buzz creates anticipation for movie goers and causes a ticket sell-out on opening day. This is how they can tell if a movie is going to be a smash hit. Once a movie is released, it is then statistically trended to see how well it is going to perform over time.

Today, it is so much easier for producers and directors to plan a blockbuster hit movie. They have learned a lot about what America and the rest of the world wants in movie entertainment in the last 30 years. This data helps them target the interest of the broadest movie audience with a potential big hit before the movie is ever made.

There are plenty of ways that Hollywood makes money. Aside from releasing new movies each summer and fall, they also, enjoy handsome profits for the sales of DVD rentals and purchases. This makes up for a big portion of their annual revenues as older classics are transformed into DVD and Blu-Ray discs.

Besides new movie releases, Hollywood also generates hefty revenues from older classics too and popular television shows too. The sales of DVD rentals and purchases continually produce added revenues as people build their movie libraries over time. Many popular television series have been transformed into DVD’s for public purchase.

Older movie classics like Godzilla and King Kong have been remade using modern special effects and have attracted a wide viewing audience. These are movies that once entertained us with mediocre special effects now updated with dazzling life-like quality. One of the newer in this genre that paid off well was the Jurassic Park series. With almost two sold out sequels and tens of thousands of DVD rentals and sales, it paid off big for producers.

The latest movie trends to create explosive interest are fantasy movies like Shrek and popular superhero’s taken from the pages of Marvel Comics. These fantasy characters entertain us with an onscreen adventure that once was left to the imagination of a paper cartoonist. Today, thanks to Hollywood, we can enjoy of favorite fantasy characters with a little more life.
